Claire Goldrick was five years old when she covered a cork bulletin board at La Casa Country Day School with a crayon picture of a cowboy on a horse. She painted her first oil painting at thirteen and by fifteen was earning money painting commissioned portraits of show horses. A self-taught artist, Goldrick studied painting with Wilson Hurley, Arthur Sussman, and Roy Andersen.
Growing up in the Southwest, spending time on horseback and working on ranches, it was only natural that Goldrick gravitated to painting western landscapes and horses. Another thread throughout her career is depicting the history of the west in her paintings. Goldrick paints 16 to 20 original canvases each year.
Lantern Dancer features both original Claire Goldrick Paintings and high quality canvas giclee prints for every price range.
